This one started out as an entry for the DDRC Logo Contest last year. I
finished it and entered it in on January 15, literally a year ago. I
was contacted right before Christmas letting me know that I won and just
needed to make a few little weeks. The original version is live on the
site right now, and the updated version should be up in a few days or
so.
The full color version will be used for the website,
newsletters & stickers. The grayscale & inverted will be also
be used on t-shirts, as well as anything that cannot be printed in
color.

Guss vom Krampus
Secret Satan Exchange 2013 gift for ramsesmelendeze | Hosted by dA-Morgue
What's Christmas without a visit from the Krampus? What's a Krampus you ask? Back in the day, long before Christianity, naughty children were visited by the Krampus during the Krampus Festival (first week of December). After the creation of Santa, he pretty much rode shot-gun with Santa and would punish the naughty by either licking them with his very long tongue or whipping them with birch branches. Eventually he was replaced with Santa giving you coal if you were bad, but he's been making a comeback the last 10 years or so. I first learned of the Krampus when watching the Very Venture Christmas Special (GO TEAM VENTURE!).
I had way more fun with this one than I should have. The base model used is my husband, who I harassed for close to two weeks before I could get him to agree to pose for some stock images. He wasn't overly thrilled at first, but as work progressed he liked it. The tongue is his, as well is the nose, ear, teeth & nails. I don't think I will be putting u pa stick pack for this one.
'Gruss vom Krampus' is German for "Greetings From Krampus". It was one of the standard greetings on the Krumpus cards given out during the festival.

Model: Jason Rogers (my husband; my own stock)

Upon a Midnight Clear Cover
Cover for T.M.'s yearly Christmas short story. It took a bit to figure
out what to do with this one, since she originally wanted the panther to
be walking beside the woman. It's hard to find panther stock without
pay a few hundred for it on some of the other big stock sites. I
eventually came across the one we used and had it reflected off the
moon. I also had difficulty with getting the background image dark
without pixelating bright spots, which is why I ended up using the
Photoshop action to get the base color set and then adjust from there.

Some Holiday Fun
Been having some fum with my holiday gift guide on the other site. Here is the banner I made for this year.
I seriously had way too much fun with this. I may have to find a different theme next year.

Quick Update
Wow! I'm surprised I was able to get everything up last night. I ended up draining my laptop completely. There's still some formatting issues to work out on the post, since I copied most of the image info directly from my deviantArt pages. I'm also still tinkering with a layout a bit. I'll fix the banner too, to make it more seamless.

(Sorry for the small thumbnail. It ran over the layout when I made it larger.)
